SAFEGUARDING LEVEL 1 – INDUCTION

This approximately 60-minute induction is for all those working or volunteering (paid or unpaid church worker) in the ARCHDIOCESE OF PERTH. It introduces the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards, Screening & Monitoring Policy, Safeguarding Policy, and Guidelines. It includes information on the types of abuse (Physical, Emotional, Sexual, Neglect and Online), the Code of Conduct, Reporting and Responding to Abuse and the importance of Prevention.

Online sessions use ZOOM video conferencing. You will need an internet connection, a computer, smartphone or tablet with speakers, a microphone and a webcam either built-in or attached to your device. If you are unable to access IT, please visit your Parish/Agency/Organisation office to arrange the use of facilities.

TRAINING REQUEST/BOOKING

The Safeguarding Program Office can provide face-to-face training and/or presentations at parishes, agencies or organisations.  If you would like to host an event, please click on BOOKING FORM. You will be contacted to confirm your request.

SAFEGUARDING LEVEL 2 – ONBOARDING NEW SAFEGUARDING OFFICERS


This half-day training is for new safeguarding officers and follows on from the Level 1 Induction.  It looks further into the Safeguarding Policy and Guidelines, abuse, responding to concerns, SAAT and the role of the Safeguarding Officer.  Nominated Safeguarding Officers must have completed the Safeguarding Induction – Level 1 and have submitted an endorsed SGO Nomination Form prior to registering for Level 2.  SAFEGUARDING LEVEL 2 – REFRESHER
